Meet Patrick

At Phippen Tax & Financial Services, Patrick Phippen uses creative financial solutions derived from a career with diverse experiences like teaching high schoolers about compound interest, helping young professionals start their first businesses, and writing opinions for a federal judge.  Most recently, he defended the federal government in tax litigation cases for up to hundreds of millions of dollars to hold multi-national corporations and large real estate moguls accountable for their federal taxes.  He saw the financial and legal resources that the wealthiest Americans use to avoid taxes, and he still found ways to make them pay their fair share - always before going to trial.

Now, Patrick wants to help individuals, families, and small businesses access that knowledge to make the best tax and financial decisions for their situations using his tax and legal background.  As an entrepreneur on track to achieve financial independence in his 40s, Patrick enjoys helping other individuals with unconventional finances achieve their goals.  No financial journey is the same. Whether you consider yourself a serial entrepreneur, side-hustler, FIRE (financial independence, retire early) enthusiast, freelancer, or something else entirely, Patrick can help you on your path.

 

At Phippen Tax & Financial Services, we believe finances are a means to an end.  Patrick works to make clients' finances less stressful so they can focus on their businesses and live more fulfilling lives knowing an expert has handled their tax and financial needs.  He also practices the lifestyle he endorses: Patrick spends much of his time maintaining his run streak (2,300 days and counting), travelling, attending live sporting events, hiking, and cheering for his partner's rugby team.
